Role on the Project: Underlying Rights Manager
“I’m new to Kentucky and love the Bluegrass Region. I’ve worked in the acquisition of underlying rights for telecommunications systems for over 20 years in almost all of the continental United States. These projects have helped to build the telecommunications systems that traverse the country and are the backbone of the Internet. It has been rewarding to have been present and having a small role in building the infrastructure to support the birth of the Internet Age.
I joined the KentuckyWired Project in September of 2015, and continue to be excited to be part of such a large statewide project of a 3300+ mile fiber optics network in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The distance between Los Angeles and New York City is only 2,800 miles! The benefits that will be provided from this network to Kentucky will be huge. Upon completion we will have some of the fastest internet speeds in the nation. KentuckyWired will reach into all 120 counties allowing communities to eventually have access to a modern, high speed communications network necessary to compete in a world economy.”
