Role on the Project: Utility Coordinator
My Story: I grew up in a Navy household and moved around quite a bit as a child, but Lexington, KY has been home for most of my life. After high school I spent twelve years in the restaurant industry before obtaining a B.B.A. in Computer Information Systems from Eastern Kentucky University. After graduation I took a job with AT&T’s preferred EFI&T vendor for their Cisco platform fiber optic networks. I worked my way up to the position of Systems Engineer where I directed the installation, testing, and commissioning of over two hundred successful optical network augmentations and new builds over the course of almost five years. I joined the DBLLC in March of 2019 and have assisted in efforts with Comm Make Ready, Power Make Ready, Engineering, and Building Entries.
I currently reside in Lexington, KY with my wife of three years, Emily. We have a one-year old son, Harrison. We enjoy spending time outdoors hiking and canoeing and I am an avid whitewater kayaker.
Why I joined the DBLLC: I joined the DBLLC after a past colleague reached out to me about a position with the Aerial Comm Make Ready team. Being involved with the different aspects of OSP construction has proven to be the perfect complement to the ISP experience I brought from my previous job. Being part of such a large project has been both challenging and rewarding. I take great pride in my role on the project knowing what a positive impact this network will have on the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the areas of industry and technology.
